DISCIPLESHIP PATHWAY
Equipping Disciples in the Bible, Beliefs, and Habits
At Valley, our Mission is to see every believer making disciples so that lives are changed, families are restored, and hearts are renewed. We want to be a church filled with disciples who go out and make new disciples, and we want to equip disciples to live their lives to the glory and honor of God. Discipleship Pathway is our unified approach toward fulfilling this vision. The Discipleship Pathway consists of four main areas:
Classes
Life Groups
Serving
Electives
Classes dig our roots deep in the Word of God, while Life Groups foster an environment that supports growth. Serving is the fruit of our faith given for the benefit of others, while Electives help prune and maintain specific areas of our lives. Through these four areas, we grow as disciples, more rooted, more healthy, and more ready to produce the fruit that comes from being a disciple of Jesus.
Roots
Class-style environments deigned to give disciples a firm foundation of knowledge about who God is, who we are, and how God wants us to live. Whether you’ve been a Christian for 20 years or 20 minutes, we all can benefit from a deeper understanding of what it means to be a disciple.
Connect
Relational environments where we learn and obey God’s Word, pray for one another, serve together, and share the gospel. Life Groups are the heart of community at Valley - small gatherings where deep friendships are built and faith is strengthened
Grow
Focused environments that meet you exactly where you are in life’s specific challenges and seasons. As a church body, we come together in smaller groups to apply God’s wisdom to marriage, parenting, finances, and other specific areas of growth
Fruitful
Serving is where our faith is put into action for the good of those around us. Together we become the hands and feet of Jesus, using our diverse gifts as one unified body to meet needs both within our church and throughout the Connecticut River Valley
