Worship Ministry
The role of Worship at Valley Bible Church is to equip people to glorify and encounter God. We believe that worship is an every day full person activity of response to who God is and what he has done for us in Christ. We believe when we sing our worship, that God is our audience, the congregation are the performers and the worship team serves as the prompter for the congregation. We worship because of God’s greatness and grace, he created us to worship him and because of what Jesus did on the cross, we are called to bring an offering of worship to him.
As a congregation, we corporately seek to glorify God by singing of his greatness, confessing our sins, thanking and praising Him for his grace that saves us, and then going out on mission to spread the message of the gospel to the community and to the ends of the earth so that all may witness and praise our Lord and Savior.
We believe that God has equipped people in the body of Christ to serve the church as leaders and we encourage and seek to utilize those with God-given abilities in music as well as other areas. Prayer Ministry
The purpose of the Prayer Ministry is to equip people to grow in their prayer life as disciples of Jesus. We believe that prayer is a vital practice as we speak to God in conversation and listen as he speaks to us through his Word.
We seek to do this by gathering for a weekly prayer meeting at church that is open to anyone. Some come to bring their prayer requests for others to pray. Others attend because they desire to minister by praying for the requests others bring. We pray for personal requests, the various church ministries, missionary requests and for our country and its leaders.
We also provide opportunities for concentrated prayer during the year such as 24 Hour prayer times, prayer walks and participation in the National Day of Prayer.
Every Sunday, we invite you to join us for pre-gathering prayer in the Youth Room at 8:45am. All are welcome.
