Life Group Discussion Questions:

Discussions about spiritual warfare can vary from one church setting to another. Some congregations never touch on it while others focus too much. This can often create preconceived notions about the spiritual reality we live in. How were your previous ideas/beliefs affirmed or challenged by today’s message?
Ephesians 6:10 says to “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” How does one “be strong in the Lord?” What verses of Scripture or personal experiences have helped you understand his strength?
Ephesians 6:11-12 talks about battling spiritual forces and standing against the schemes of the devil. How do you recognize spiritual battles in your life? What is an instance where you felt you were in a spiritual struggle, perhaps one you only now recognize?
The weapons of the enemy are Desire, Doubt, Deceit, and Despair. Which of these have been especially difficult for you? Can you identify areas of your life in which you need to be more watchful or vigilant? If so, what? And how can you work to “reinforce your defenses” in that area?
